So I modified this activity and changed the task. Instead of searching for a black leather coat, I instead searched for a black leather couch. I compared Wayfair.com and Overstock.com. In terms of accuracy of search terms, Overstock.com did a better job in identifying matches that fit that exact description. It only brought up items that were both black in color and of leather material. Wayfair.com altered my search term to “black leather sofas” and included a variety of colors, although the majority of the items on the page were black.

Overstock.com appeared to be more detailed in its item description page prior to purchase. It had features to share the item through various social platforms as well as included customer reviews. Wayfair also had similar features, but focused more on the customer views in comparison to the item description details. Each site proved adequate in usability; however, between the two, Overstock.com appeared more user-friendly.
