    This is a really tough question because I think most of them are really useful. Perhaps, the one I like the least is the survey because I think they are hard to design, people don’t often complete them, and the information obtained can be ambiguous. I like to get to the heart of a matter quickly, so I tend to like focus groups and interviews. While natural observation is also a handy tool, I feel that it can be flawed. For example, if I am the professor of a student I have “perceived power” over the student in terms of grading, etc. Therefore, I feel a student may either feel pressured to please me by complimenting the site. It just seems like it is more fallible. I haven’t tried any of these methods while designing a website before this class.
